Illinois Equal Pay Registration – Deadline Coming Soon
March 19, 2025

Illinois started requiring employers with 100 or more employees who file EEO-1 reports to apply for an Equal Pay Registration Certificate (EPRC) back in 2022. Initial applications were filed between March 24, 2022, and March 23, 2024, and eligible employers are required to recertify every two years.  Beginning this month, employers who need to recertify will be required to provide new data including hourly/salary status, base hourly rate for hourly workers, and answer whether employees are covered by a collective bargaining agreement.  To accommodate these changes, the Illinois Department of Labor has provided an updated template and established a new deadline for recertification submissions of March 31, 2025.  The template can be found on the Illinois.gov website: https://labor.illinois.gov/laws-rules/conmed/eprc.html  It’s been stated that IDOL is increasing its enforcement efforts and we encourage all eligible employers to have this new template and deadline on their radar.
