Responsibilities

Mike DiLeo is a Principal at Miller Cooper. Prior to joining Miller Cooper, Mike worked within the Big 4, where he provided state and local tax advisory services to a diverse array of clients. Mike specializes in the areas of tax transaction advisory, indirect tax, tax audit and controversy, and negotiated incentives.

Relevant Experience

Mike has over a decade of public accounting experience assisting clients in a variety of state and local tax matters, such as sales/use tax, gross receipts taxes, credits and incentives, and assisting clients in acquisitions and reorganizations. Throughout his career, Mike has provided advisory services to clients in the areas of manufacturing, technology/SaaS, retail, e-commerce, construction, professional/personal services and a variety of others. Mike has significant experience in representing clients in examinations, audits and appeals at the state and local levels, as well as in transaction advisory services.

Prior to joining Miller Cooper, Mike worked for the State and Local Tax group of a Big 4 firm with an emphasis on credits and incentives.

Education and Professional Activities

Mike received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Northern Illinois University and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Illinois. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and is a member of the Chicago Bar Association.
