Chris Rim, CPA, Principal

Chris Rim is a Miller Cooper Principal and a member of the firm’s Tax department. He serves as the engagement principal in various tax matters for closely held, middle market companies including companies with a particular emphasis on the real estate and construction industry. As a tax principal, Mr. Rim is responsible for managing the tax engagement projects and works closely with clients with regards to tax compliance and consulting on various tax technical matters.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:   Mr. Rim has experience working with Chicago-area real estate developers, construction companies and property managers. His experience includes various types of tax reporting, general business consulting, Federal and state tax notice resolution, and research and analyzing other various client-specific regulatory tax issues. In addition to servicing companies in the real estate and construction industry, Mr. Rim manages engagements for distributors, retailers and transportation companies.

He has been with Miller Cooper since 2003. Prior to joining Miller Cooper, Mr. Rim was with a large, local middle market accounting firm where he provided both tax and accounting services to middle market companies in a variety of industries.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES:   Mr. Rim received his Bachelors of Science Degree from DePaul University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Illinois Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Young Real Estate Professionals.
