Steven S. Sower Jr., CPA, Director

Steve Sower is an International Tax Director in Miller Cooper’s tax department. He specializes in providing international tax consulting and compliance services to multinational enterprises ranging from small, closely held private companies to large, publicly traded corporations. Prior to joining Miller Cooper, Steve practiced with a top 5 global accounting firm.

Relevant Experience

Steve serves clients primarily engaged in manufacturing, distribution, technology, insurance brokerage, and real estate. He consults on international tax structuring and setups, U.S. anti-deferral regimes, withholding taxes, international tax treaty application, foreign investment, profit repatriation strategies, foreign tax credit optimization, and permanent establishment risk management.

Educational and Professional Activities

Steve earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Grand Valley State University. He is a certified public accountant licensed in the state of Michigan. Steve is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.
